Need help in 2.8 engine swap

Just bought 1984 bronco II ,eddie buarer, motor is bad,it has a tick & carb problems, but rest is tight and solid. It has three speed c4 auto, what can I bolt up to it easily, besides a 302, can I use a straight 6??? Or does any have a good rebuild kit for 2.8?? Thanks need help quick!!!
