RE: 9" pinion Shaft seal

You need to replace the crush sleeve and torque it to spec. I would not
follow any advice that says you can bypass this step, UNLESS the advice is
to have a rear end shop replace the crush sleeve with a machined spacer.

Just my opinion.

 The seal on my 9" leaks around the pinion. Is this something I can
replace, or does it need to go to a shop for appropiate torqueing and
