Yeah I agree, but I want an overdrive, purely so I can stop hearing that
2500 motor wind out on the highway!

Yeah, it's interesting to find out what kind of mileage that we get for
comparison purposes, but in light of what we spend on everything else on
these beasts, can mileage actually be a quotable figure in and of
itself? ("With the new motor, I increased my mileage about 3 mpg! Let's
see, after amortizing the $2,500 for the new motor, the brake
conversion, the lift, etc., etc., That extra mileage will pay off those
mods in about...27 years, 25 if I drive with a light foot!")

Just making an amusing observation...I quote mileage myself to people.
Why? Because everyone asks...

Bob

I don't get the big deal of gas mileage. We drive 30 some year old
vehicles with
the aerodynamic features of a billboard. If I was worried about gas
mileage I'd
drive a civic with a coffee can exhaust so it'd sound like a string
trimmer
when I drove around town. I drive an eB because I love everything about
it, but
it doesn't even come close to making economic sense. I've never tried to
calculate my gas mileage because I never cared, but even with my
overdrive I
bet it sucks. The sound of a 302 through 40 series flowmasters at 4000
rpms is
addicting. Enjoy an EB for what it is.

Just my thoughts, not trying to push them on anyone.
