Here is my message on bead lock options that I posted 3 weeks ago. The first
one on the list is custom Hummer rims.

I decided to compile a short list of bead lock options including those that
don't get discussed much.

1) Modified Hummer rims
-DOT legal, just need to weld in a new center section with your bolt
pattern and desired offset
-Jason Paule does this on a custom basis
        -geobb_at_rushmore.com
        -4 ea rims is $1000
        -http://www.twistedcustoms.com/
2) Swedish Tirelocs
-DOT legal, just need to add a second inner tube hole
        -http://www.jdsoffroad.com/
3) Mr. Ed's Fiberglass Rock Locks
-DOT legal, just add a few layers of faiberglass and resin
-I personally have this setup and it works great.
4) Drag racing style rim screws
-DOT legal, just need to drill a bunch of holes for the screws
http://performanceunlimited.com/customservices/rimscrewing.html

5) Weld on outer ring (MRT Econoloc)
-DOT legal (sort of, not really)
-weld ring to existing DOT legal ring, but you do *not* cut the
original lip off like normal bead locks
        -http://www.mrt-wheels.com/catpages/page30.html
        -http://www.rockstomper.com/catalog/wheels/beadlocks.htm
6) Hutchinson bead locks
        -DOT legal
        -http://www.hutchinsoninc.com/
7) Modify your rims (the "cool" way)
-This would be the current list of companies that modify your or
their rims by cutting off the outer bead and welding on a ring.
        -http://www.championwheel.com/
-There are several others, but these are the main ones.

Feel free to add to this list.

Subject: [EBML] Fancy Hummer Rims/need ideas

Anybody have any links to sites with the custom backspaced Hummer rims? Or
to any place that sells Hummer rims?

Also, on my 60 project I have been told that the 16.5 " rim needs to be
beadlocked inside and out as they do not hold air well at low pressures. Is
there anyone who does this for fairly cheap? Any help on this would also be
appreciated.

TIA!
Clint Eddy
